About Me.. mmm
If you're reading this, welcome.
I'm just an ordinary guy from South India who decided it was finally time to take his health seriously.
When I started this journey, I weighed 165 kg. Along with the weight came high blood pressure, prediabetes, constant fatigue, and the feeling that my body was becoming smaller than the life I wanted to live.
For years, I told myself I'd start "next Monday."
Or after a holiday.
Or after work got less stressful.
There was always another reason to wait.
Eventually, I realized that if I kept waiting for the perfect time, nothing was ever going to change.
So I started.
A few months ago, with my doctor's guidance, I began treatment with a GLP-1 medication (semaglutide). It's helping me, but it isn't writing this story for me. Every meal I choose, every walk I take, every workout I finish, and every habit I build - that part is still up to me.
That's what TrimStory is about.
Not perfection.
Not six-week transformations.
Not pretending I've got everything figured out.
Just one person trying to become healthier than he was yesterday.
Some days I'll lose weight.
Some days I'll hit a plateau.
Some days I'll make great choices.
Some days I'll eat something I probably shouldn't.
I'm not interested in pretending those days don't exist, because they're part of the journey too.
This blog is where I am trying to document everything I learn along the way, from losing weight and improving my health to managing blood pressure, living with prediabetes, eating better without giving up the foods I love, and figuring out how to stay consistent long after motivation disappears.
You'll also find reviews of books, apps, gadgets, kitchen tools, fitness gear, and other things that genuinely make this journey easier for me. If something saves me time, keeps me motivated, or helps me make better decisions, I'll probably write about it.
Some of those recommendations may include affiliate links. If you buy something through one of those links, I may earn a small commission at no extra cost to you. It helps support this blog, but it will never change what I recommend. If I wouldn't spend my own money on it, you won't find it here.
I'm not a doctor.
I'm not a nutritionist.
I'm definitely not an influencer trying to sell you a dream.
I'm simply someone who got tired of watching his health go in the wrong direction and decided to do something about it.
I'm writing this blog for myself because documenting the journey keeps me accountable. But I'm also writing it for anyone who's ever looked in the mirror and wondered where to begin.
Maybe our starting points are different.
Maybe our reasons are different.
But if you're trying to build a healthier life, I hope you'll find something useful here.
This is my story.
Maybe parts of it will become part of yours too.
Real weight loss. Real habits. Real stories.
